Elisabeth Stavinoha

A native Houstonian, Elisabeth Stavinoha comes from a long lineage of artists and musicians and began painting in her youth. Elisabeth spent a decade in the philanthropic world through administration, fundraising and community building with Northwest Assistance Ministries, Interfaith Community Ministry Network and Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston. Her passion for art and design lead to pursue a new career in interior design and remodeling for another decade. As an avid world traveler, Elisabeth is continuing her studies in fine art and antiquity. For a brief tenure, Elisabeth sat on MFAH acquisitions committee for Africa, Oceania & the Americas. Elisabeth spent time in Denver, Colorado to study under water-colorist, Nancy Condit, to continue her gift and love of painting. Elisabeth has called The Woodlands her home for many years along with her husband and daughter. She is excited and honored to serve Glade Arts Foundation, bridging her love for the arts and building a legacy for The Woodlands community.

Cynthia Reid

As an art teacher for 28 years, Cynthia Reid taught in Conroe ISD high schools, before continuing her work with students at Lone Star College, teaching drawing, design, watercolor, and art appreciation. She currently teaches painting in Aquamedia at Sam Houston State University (SHSU). Cynthia has earned three degrees from SHSU, including a Master of Fine Arts in Painting, and in 2016 was honored as an Outstanding Alumna. She has been a producing artist for over thirty years, mainly using watercolor, and has an extensive exhibition record. Cynthia regards her new position at Glade Arts Foundation as the perfect culmination to her career as an artist and an educator and is excited about bringing engaging content in the visual arts to the community.

Derek Theis

Derek has spent the past 12 years working closely with business owners small and large across Texas, but proudly calls The Woodlands home. With a background in business development, commercial finance, risk analysis, and relationship management he has a strong passion for helping businesses thrive. He'll be the first to tell you that one of the key foundations to success is having the right group of professionals in your circle. Did we mention he's an avid art enthusiast with a daughter following his footsteps? It is this passion and love of the arts that makes Derek a natural fit to engage the next generation of leaders in furthering Art within The Woodlands and The Greater Houston Area.

Joseph Staley

After completing Advanced Placement Art History in his senior year of high school, and after receiving the highest grade possible on the national AP Exam, Mr. Staley chose to pursue a B.A. in Fine Arts, Art History from the University of Oklahoma, with a minor in History. Joseph is a member of the Class of 2017 and was involved in various academic clubs including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and OU Model United Nations.  

Having had rigorous exposure to many facets of art history, including Western as well as Non-Western training throughout his undergraduate career, Mr. Staley is adequately poised with the formal training necessary to curate for both The Glade Gallery and the Glade Arts Foundation.  

Kashay Mendes

Kashay Mendes is a Texan born and raised, she has an appreciation and love for the many arts. Kashay brings her passion for arts and community service with over twenty years of experience in the corporate and non-profit worlds, holding various roles: sales, marketing, business development, recruitment and management. Her experience will help develop the many programs at Glade Arts Foundation, that will provide tremendous support, education, and future growth into the community programs at Glade Arts Foundation.

 Kashay is the owner of Designer Divas in The Woodlands, Texas, a concierge luxury high end fashion business. Over the years, Kashay has spent effortless hours supporting, chairing, and raising funds, for multiple charities in Montgomery County area - “I feel I was put on this earth as a vessel to help others.” She loves connecting people through events and bringing the community together. Kashay created and produced the first event at Glade Arts Foundation - “Art & Fashion 2018”, a successful event for both Glade Arts Foundation and the Community which raised significant funds to support five charities in the Montgomery County area.

 Kashay was nominated as Women of Distinction 2017 for Yes To Youth! One of her proudest accomplishments for her philanthropic work thus far. “Our children must come first.”
